I was first introduced to the occupation of teaching when I was still 17 years of age. At that time,
my family was already well established in our city running music and dance centers, and promoting
the education and performance of the arts.
It was almost inevitable that years later, I would decide to return to teaching, a passion which I
consequently embraced with care and devotion. For 16 years ever since, I have assisted hundreds
of young children in the art of piano playing and performance.
I am indebted to a number of music educators for their insightful contributions. Such as : Dr. E L
Lancaster, Mr. Dennis Alexander, Mrs. Martha Mier, Mrs. Catherine Rollin, Mrs. Eugénie Rocherolle
and Dr. Kevin Olson, to name just a few. All of whom inspired me with their innovative methodologies
and musical compositions during all these years.
I am ever so thankful to all the children and their parents for being receptive to my philosophy of
teaching without pre-requisites.
And last, I am also thankful to Ms. Cathy Horn and Mr. Reggie Lofton for their committed support in
the productions of our annual piano recital events at the facilities of Berklee College of Music.
